The program, spanning three iconic cities – Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai, and hosted by 3 prestigious universities – University of International Business and Economics, Xi`an Jiaotong University and Shanghai University, seamlessly integrated language learning and cultural activities, an exploration of China's digital economy, and visits to key local landmarks. Unforgettable Summer Camp in China: Exploring Culture, Language, and Digital Economy
夏令营期间的中文课程旨在为学生提供全面而有趣的学习体验。课程设计精心安排，既适合初学者，也适合有语言基础的学生，确保每个参与者在语言学习的过程中都能取得重大进展。 在整个夏令营期间，鼓励学生在日常情境中练习语言技能，例如在食堂和校外点餐、寻求方向以及与教师、学生大使和当地人互动。夏令营结束时，Viktoriia Vertii提到：“我有一位很棒的老师。她非常友好，我添加了她的微信，并承诺以后会和她聊天。” 经验丰富的教师通过沉浸式的语言课程指导学生，使他们能够掌握汉字的复杂笔画和普通话的悦耳音调。语言学习与文化洞察相结合，教师分享了有关中国风俗、传统和与语言使用相关的文化细节的轶事。这种方法增强了学生对语言文化背景的理解和欣赏。 Chinese Language classes during the Summer Camp were designed to provide students with a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. They were carefully structured to cater to both beginners and those with prior knowledge of the language, ensuring that each participant could make significant strides in their linguistic journey. Our experience teachers guided the students though immersive language lessons, enabling them to master intricate strokes of Chinese characters and melodious tones of Mandarin. Language learning was interwoven with cultural insights with teachers sharing anecdotes about Chinese customs, traditions, and cultural nuances related to language usage. This approach enhanced students' understanding and appreciation of the language's cultural context. Throughout the camp, students were encouraged to practice their language skills in everyday situations, such as ordering meals at the canteen and outside of campus, asking for directions, and interacting with the teachers, Student Ambassadors and locals. Viktoriia Vertii mentioned at the end of the camp: “I had a wonderful teacher. She was very friendly, and I added her WeChat and promised that I will chat with her later.”

抵达每所大学校园后，学生受到热情的欢迎，并接受了全面的指导。他们了解了校园设施、住宿安排、时间表和指南，以确保顺利过渡到大学生活。
在这三所享有盛誉的大学校园里生活期间，学生有机会体验繁华校园生活的脉搏。与中国本地学生互动是校园体验的一个亮点。小组讨论和与学生大使共同参与的活动促进了文化交流和跨文化友谊的建立。
除了校园内的活动，学生还有机会探索大学周边地区。他们可以参观餐馆、商店和小吃街，了解校园之外学生的日常生活。在短期项目结束时，许多学生表示决定返回中国攻读学位。
Upon arriving at the campus of each university, students were warmly welcomed and given a comprehensive orientation. They received information about the campus facilities, accommodation arrangements, schedules, and guidelines to ensure a smooth transition into university life.
While living on campuses of the three prestigious universities, students had a chance to experience the vibrant heartbeat of the bustling campus life. Interacting with local Chinese students was a highlight of the campus experience. Group discussions, and joint activities with the Students Ambassadors facilitated cultural exchange and the forging of cross-cultural friendships.

Cultural enrichment played a pivotal role in the program, as students engaged in traditional art forms like calligraphy, traditional painting, experience Chinese opera, dancing and Kong Fu, as well as savored local cuisine that spanned centuries of culinary mastery. Participating in these cultural activities gave students a multi-dimensional understanding of Chinese heritage. They learned to appreciate the values, aesthetics, and traditions that have shaped China's rich cultural tapestry, fostering a deeper connection to the country and its people.

During the programme, the students embarked on an awe-inspiring journey to explore some of China's most iconic and historically significant landmarks. Sightseeing was a crucial component of the program, as it allowed participants to connect with China's past, present, and future.
Among other, the students walked along the Great Wall of China, a symbol of resilience and unity offered insights into the monumental efforts that shaped China's past, visited Terra Cotta Warriors, a vivid reminder of China's ancient civilization, and witnessed the dramatic contrast between the historic Bund area and the futuristic Pudong skyline, their juxtaposition symbolized China's rapid transformation and emergence as a global economic powerhouse, blending heritage with innovation.

随着中国巩固其作为全球技术强国的地位，夏令营巧妙地融入了对该国数字经济的洞察。学生们参观了电子商务、金融科技和人工智能等领域的尖端公司，包括上汽大众和阿里巴巴总部。

As China solidifies its position as a global technological powerhouse, the Summer Camp ingeniously incorporated insights into the country's digital economy. The students visited cutting-edge companies in areas such as e-commerce, fintech, and artificial intelligence, including SAIC Volkswagen and Alibaba headquarter.
Immersed in the dynamic world of Chinese innovation, start-ups, and business culture, the students also prepared their own Digital China Research Project, where they deep-dived into different popular digital technologies used by ordinary people living in China, including online and face-scan payments, bike-sharing, and different digital platforms. On the final days of the camp, the students participated in a thrilling competitions and showcased their research achievements.
